The people
Opsys is a small, dynamic structure with a kernel of 2 persons, Patricia Speltincx and Steve Mann. There is also a network of associates contributing on an ad-hoc basis to bring their specific areas of industry expertise in the planning, managing and delivery of high quality services.
Patricia Speltincx
Patricia gained a degree in Computer Sciences at ULB (Université Libre de Bruxelles) in
1985. After a few years devoted to technical activities, Patricia evolved towards IT organisation and management.
Through her various consultancy assignments over the last 20 years, she has developed a wide experience in management in general as well as in IT Service Management.
Patricia loves to share her experiences through training. Since she passed the ITIL® Service Management Certificate and became an ISEB accredited lecturer in 2000, she spends part of her time lecturing Service Management and the ITIL framework.
Another of her passions is to support people and teams in the development of their professional potential and their autonomy through coaching. In 2010, she added a string to her bow with a coaching certificate (Coach & Team+©). Patricia has now added coaching services as well as personal skills and management training to her portfolio.
Steve Mann
Steve has acquired a sound experience of practical Service Management through over 30 years spent in IT Operations environments.
Positions have included Production and Operational Manager's roles working for ICL at the EEC in Luxembourg; in Abu Dhabi for the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC); Infrastructure and Operations manager for BREL (British Rail Engineering Limited) and for the Leeds and Holbeck Building Society where Steve introduced most of the ITIL® disciplines. A wide and varied experience!
Since 1996, Steve has concentrated on Service Management consultancy and training. Steve lectures Service Management and the ITIL® framework and ISO20000 with great success. He has delivered ITIL® courses in a variety of locations around the world and has put hundreds of candidates through ITIL® certified courses.
He is acknowledged as an outstanding lecturer having the ability to share his wide practical experience by illustrating the theory with real life examples. According to students' appraisals, his dynamism and dedication make the courses not only informative, but also interesting and "a good time"!
