The company

Opsys was founded in 1989 by Patricia Speltincx.

During the first three years, activities were mainly centred around highly technical projects in the areas of operating systems (this explains the name " OPerating SYStem"), telecommunications and distributed systems.

Realising that technology was only a means to providing "a service", and that there is a need for good IT governance to achieve business value, Opsys progressively evolved towards IT management and IT governance activities.

Opsys promotes the idea that it is possible to organise and manage IT in such a way for it to really contribute to the business objectives of a company in a cost-effective way. Opsys assists companies and organisations to take up this challenge, to improve IT services as well as improving the all-important "return on IT investment".
